The FDA has approved generic versions of GlaxoSmithKline's antiemetic drug Zofran. Teva Pharmaceuticals has been given approval to manufacture a single 4 mg/2 mL dose vial and multi-dose 40 mg/20 mL vials of the ondansetron injection. SICOR Pharmaceuticals will manufacture a 32 mg/50 mL dosage strength of the ondansetron premixed injection. This product is indicated for prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, and radiation-induced nausea and vomiting.
