Par Pharmaceutical has received FDA approval for ondansetron orally disintegrating tablets (ODT), a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's Zofran ODT. This product is indicated for the prevention of nausea and vomiting due to highly emetogenic chemotherapy, with initial and repeat courses of moderately emetogenic chemotherapy, certain radiotherapies, and post-operative nausea and vomiting prevention. Ondansetron ODT will be available in 4mg and 8mg dosage strengths.
