Pfizer has decided to discontinue the manufacturing of Geocillin (carbenicillin indanyl sodium) 382mg tablets. There are no other currently FDA approved manufacturers for carbenicillin tablets. Geocillin, a semisynthetic penicillin, is indicated for the treatment of upper and lower urinary tract infections, asymptomatic bacteriuria, and prostatitis due to susceptible strains.
