Suprax (cefixime tablets, from Lupin) 400mg has been made available again for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Suprax availability had been limited since July 2002 when Wyeth discontinued manufacturing cefixime tablets in the U.S. Lupin has been manufacturing and marketing Suprax oral suspension in 100mg/5mL and 200mg/5mL dosage strengths since April 2007.
