Manufacturing delays of Xanodyne’s methadone HCl injection have caused a supply shortage. Xanodyne may be able to provide emergency supplies of the drug upon request.

Injectable methadone HCl, a synthetic opioid analgesic, is indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe pain not responsive to non-narcotic analgesics and for the temporary treatment of opioid dependence in patients unable to take oral medication.
